Peyton Manning admits that several reluctant quarterbacks passed him up for his hit. Patrick Mahomes Stars in His Own Netflix Show

Football fans all over the world are talking about his most recent project as executive producer of the smash Netflix docuseries “Quarterback.” Including Patrick Mahomes, the show on Netflix provides an inside peek at the lives of three-star quarterbacks. Fans, however, may be unaware of the difficulties Manning encountered while working on this groundbreaking series.

Manning mentioned approaching “a couple of quarterbacks” for the first season of ‘Quarterback’ during a recent interview on ‘The Pat McAfee Show. It appears, nevertheless, that they were unwilling to fully commit. Despite facing many obstacles, Manning was able to highlight the exciting stories of Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota during the 2022 season.

On this week’s episode of ‘The Pat McAfee Show,’ Peyton Manning revealed that he had approached two quarterbacks about appearing on the show in its inaugural season, but they were both reluctant to open up about their experiences. As Manning explained, “We had a couple of quarterbacks, that we actually approached a couple of guys last year about possibly doing this, and a couple of them asked me, ‘Peyton, would you have done this?’ ” The NFL icon conceded that this was a difficult issue to answer because he himself would not have done this as a rookie quarterback.

Manning mentioned that he was once approached about being the main attraction of a TV show, but he declined the offer. He told Pat McAfee that he was in treatment at the time and wasn’t mentally prepared to take on the responsibility at the time. Manning, thinking back on his choice, said he wasn’t sure how things would have turned out under the circumstances.

The docuseries ‘Quarterbacks’ is intriguing in large part because it presents three prominent quarterbacks at different stages in their careers. When asked about it, Manning said, “As an older quarterback, I wish I had done something like this.” Fans of the NFL from all over the world have taken an interest in the show since it promises an insider’s view at the lives of these football heroes.

Peyton Releases Second Season of ‘Quarterback’

Executive producer and Pro Football Hall of Famer Peyton Manning announced the renewal of the Netflix series “Quarterback” for a second season on the Pat McAfee Show.

For his part, Manning said he’d “love to document three different types of quarterbacks again at three different points in their careers.”

Three quarterbacks, Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings, and Marcus Mariota of the Atlanta Falcons, have their 2022 seasons chronicled across the first eight episodes.

The series chronicles the ups and downs of all three players on the field, from Mahomes’ march to the Super Bowl to Cousins’ determination to play through injury during the Vikings’ runaway NFC North victory and Mariota’s benching in favor of Desmond Ridder.

The three signalers are also visible in this behind-the-scenes look. Photos of Mahomes and Brittany and Mariota and Kiyomi Cook in preparation for the birth of their children stand out. Cousins’s confession that he lets Julie, his wife, choose out his attire for him is only one of the many amusing instances displayed.

For the week of July 10-16, the series ranked as Netflix’s sixth most-watched original program.
