Destiny 2 overview of new seasonal activities

Destiny 2 stands apart from numerous other games due to its frequent updates, keeping players engaged and entertained. Just recently, the exhilarating Season 21 was unveiled, introducing fresh content and challenges to the ever-expanding universe of Destiny 2.

For beginners, Destiny 2 can present a formidable learning curve, demanding time and effort to master its mechanics and intricacies. The game features a vast array of weapons, abilities, and character classes, each with its unique playstyle and strategic nuances. That is why destiny 2 carries services are so popular among gamers.

Today we want to talk about the seasonal activities of the new season of the Season of the Deep in the beloved game Destiny2.

Collector Expedition

The first seasonal activity is designed for a group of 6 players (there is an auto-selection). At least on normal difficulty (more will be added as the season progresses), expeditions are fairly simple and uncomplicated content, divided into 2 stages.

1 stage

After starting the activity, the group needs to perform random tasks that take place in random locations. By completing tasks, you gradually fill the progress bar and as soon as it reaches the end, you can move on to stage 2, in other words, the good old rules of the Panopticon. Below is a list of tasks that we managed to see:

  • For a certain period, protect objects from the waves of the Hive.
  • Destroy the Hive Crystals using orbs dropped by Taken Ogres.
  • Kill several Elite Hive Witches.
  • Repair the cranes by collecting parts scattered around the map.
  • Prevent special Hive enemies from reaching the huge portal.
  • Kill waves of opponents within a certain amount of time.

2 stage

The group needs to defeat the final boss. There are 2 variations of bosses, but it is not yet clear whether they change according to daily or weekly rotation. Next, we will describe the mechanics of the boss of the first week / first day.

Kill 4 Runekeepers protected by a white impenetrable shield. To remove the shield, we look at what symbol is shown in the center of the room, we are looking for a small platform with a similar symbol, we stand on it and knock down the white shield.

After killing 4 Guardians, a boss with a white shield will appear, we perform the same actions as with the Guardians. The shield disappears for a certain period, during which you must kill the boss, otherwise, you will have to repeat the mechanics of removing it.

After the death of the boss, a chest appears with a final reward in the form of random seasonal equipment – weapons (may drop with a red border) or armor. If the character has a Seasonal Expedition Key, it is automatically consumed and improves the reward. Keys can drop from any off-season activities. If you will have some additional questions you can try to find answers to them on the official forum.

Immersion

The second seasonal activity is designed for a group of 1-3 players (there is an auto-selection). Again, at least on normal difficulty, Immersion is fairly simple (compared to expeditions – a little more difficult) and uncomplicated content, divided into 2 stages.

1 stage

The group needs to complete as many random tasks as possible within the allotted time of 5 minutes. For example, destroy Fallen robots and collect corals, activate terminals, replace fuel tanks, etc.

A few important points:

  1. Before the stage starts, the group encounters a small roguelike element in the form of 2 random passive buffs to choose from. For example, grenade energy recovery of +500%, a 15% increase in kinetic damage.
  2. Periodically, special glowing opponents appear on the map, killing them adds 15 seconds to the timer.
  3. If all party members activate Toland located in a random place on the map, a more difficult version of the first stage will start, allowing you to get an additional chest after the second stage.
  4. After activation, in addition to the main task, you will have to perform a random additional one in parallel.

2 stage

The group needs to defeat the final boss. There are 3 variations of bosses and most likely they change in a weekly rotation. Next, we will describe the mechanics of the first-week boss – the ball of the Fallen, an analog from the raid “Warden of the Void”.

The ball has 3 HP bars. Periodically, the ball ignites, causing damage to everyone who is in its field of view, you can avoid damage by hiding in the shadows of objects. Roughly speaking, everything is like with the boss in the raid mentioned above.

After removing one division of HP, the group teleports to a closed arena, where after a short period a boss appears with an impenetrable shield and several small balls connected. The group needs to destroy the small balls.

The boss repeats this mechanic 2 times. The first time there will be 2 small balls, and the second time there will be about 6. After the first arena, the boss will summon several explosives. After the death of the boss, a chest appears with a final reward in the form of random seasonal equipment – weapons (may drop with a red border) or armor. If the character has a seasoned key of immersion, it is automatically consumed and improves the reward.

Conclusion

These updates, known as “Seasons” by Bungie, are eagerly anticipated by the game’s passionate community who give Destiny 2 83 points on Metacritic.
