Zenit St. Petersburg have signed the Brazilian winger from Barcelona Malcom for an initial figure of 40 million euros, both clubs announced on Friday.
The 22-year-old signed with the Catalan team last season from Girondins de Bordeaux and played 24 games with Ernesto Valverde’s team, scoring four goals.
“FC Barcelona and Zenit St. Petersburg have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Malcom Filipe Silva de Oliveira. The Russian team will pay FC Barcelona 40 million euros plus 5 million euros in variables,” said Barcelona in a statement.
“FC Barcelona reserves a capital gain in the event of a future sale of the Brazilian player.
The Zenit is unbeaten and leads the Russian League with three victories in three games.
Malcolm began his career with Brazil’s Corinthians in 2014 and two years later moved to French Bordeaux, from where he was transferred to Barcelona in mid-2018.
