Almost two years later, Dale Steyn gets chance to play in ODIs for the country. The veteran pacer has been called in the South Africa squad for the one-day series against Zimbabwe. Steyn played the last ODI in October 2016. Leg-spinner Imran Tahir returns who has been rested for the one-day series against Sri Lanka. In spin attack, K Maharaj and T Shamsi are his companions. David Miller has given a rest to say that first-class cricket is good for increasing concentration in limited-overs cricket. Quinton de Kock will be rested for the one-day series in Sri Lanka who was captain in the absence of Faf du Plessis. Two batsmen are in the Twenty-Series even regular captain Faf du Plessis is both the two ODIs and Twenty20 teams but his playing will depend on the fitness test. Kagiso Radda, Mulder, and Hashim Amla are not in the Twenty-Series where comes Van Der Dussen and J Cloete who are not playing yet for the country. South Africa will play three one-day and T20 matches against Zimbabwe in the country.
