Singer regrets the “worst ever” England’s national anthem and explains why it was so terrible

Supporters criticized Ellynora for her rendition of God Save the King prior to England’s victory over Italy, as technical difficulties hampered the national anthem.

Ellynora singer who sang “God Save the King” prior to England’s victory over Italy has apologized for technical difficulties with the anthem.

Ellynora was selected to perform the English national anthem at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Naples on Wednesday evening. The Three Lions had traveled to Italy for their initial Euro 2024 qualification match against the Azzurri.

As is customary prior to all international matches, the national anthems of both nations were performed. As a result of a series of technical issues, many fans deemed it to be the worst national anthem ever.

The performer of the English national anthem has issued an apology.

Throughout the performance, Ellynora staggered and became disoriented, and players could be seen grimacing. She initially appeared to miss the introductory note, then fidgeted with her earbud, but was still left floundering.

Ellynora has issued an apology following an enormous backlash from fans in the stadium and millions watching on television. She pointed to the technical issues and insisted that she did not intentionally make mistakes.

“I’m so furious because I wanted it to be flawless, but it wasn’t my responsibility that something went wrong. She told the Daily Mail, “I apologize to all the England fans who were at the stadium or watching on television.”

The rendition of God Save the King failed to impress players and spectators.

“I’m ashamed of what occurred, and I want everyone to know that I was not being disrespectful. I was ecstatic to be requested to perform the national anthem because it was such an honor. I’ve never before sung anything similar.

“I’m more of a musical artist, but there was a sound problem at the venue. I was out of sync and it was difficult to catch up because I was hearing the music twice.

“I did everything I could to address the issue, but there was nothing I could do, and I’m furious about it. This was so irritating and distressing to me; the supporters have every right to be furious, and I am truly regretful.”

The English soon got over hearing their national anthem corrupted. Declan Rice gave England the lead after 13 minutes, capitalizing on sloppy defending to score after Harry Kane’s effort was blocked.
