Cristiano Ronaldo opens 2020 in style. The football superstar showed his best performance in Serie A in a landslide victory over Juventus 4-0 Cagliari.

Playing the game after the winter break, Juventus entertain Cagliari at the Allianz Stadium on Monday (1/6/2020). At first, the visitors managed to drown out throughout the first half.

However, Juve then strafed Cagliari with four goals after the break. A hat-trick was created by Ronaldo (one penalty), while another goal was donated by Gonzalo Higuain.

Ronaldo has recorded more than 40 goals since Juventus were recruited from Real Madrid in the summer of 2018. However, only this time the owner of five Ballon d’Or scored three goals in one league match.

However, it was Ronaldo’s second hat-trick in a ‘black-and-white’ costume after previously breaking into Atletico Madrid’s goal three times in the Champions League. ‘The most important thing is the team wins,’ said the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star after the match.

‘We have done well and made lots of opportunities. I’m so glad about his hat-trick, but the most important thing is his victory and pressing Inter,’ Ronaldo continued to 7up Sports.

With these three additional numbers, Juventus won the Italian League standings Capolista from the hands of Inter Milan after pocketing 45 points from 18 matches. Juve is three points ahead of Inter, who will only play in a few hours against Napoli.
