Real Madrid suffered their third consecutive defeat on Saturday and reached a new negative record under the command of the pressured coach Julen Lopetegui, by accumulating 482 minutes without a goal in the match against Levante.

The lateral Marcelo broke with the historic streak in the 71st minute of the game against the Granot team, after the visitors were ahead with goals from Jose Luis Morales and Roger Marti penalty.

Before Marcelo scored against Levante, Real’s last goal in any competition came in a 1-0 win over Espanyol on 22 September, and they failed to score in their next matches with Sevilla, Atletico Madrid, CSKA Moscow and Alaves.
