The Japanese company Dentsu was selected to commercialize the rights of the 2019 America’s Cup to be held in Brazil, informed the South American Football Confederation on Friday.
The 46th edition of the world’s oldest national team tournament will be held from 14 June to 7 July in five venues and will feature ten South American teams, as well as Japan and Qatar.
“Dentsu Inc. will be the new company in charge of providing consulting services and marketing, sale and after-sale of the commercial assets of CONMEBOL Copa America Brasil 2019,” the entity said in a statement.
“The assets to be commercialized include rights of sponsorship, television, licenses, hospitality, among others,” he added.
The company’s offering, which has 40 years of experience in the sports and entertainment industry including Olympic Games and World Clubs, was unanimously approved by Conmebol’s board in August.
The Copa America will be held in the cities of Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre, and Salvador. The final will take place at the Maracana Stadium.
