Bayern Munich officially recruits Schalke goalkeeper Alexander Nubel, Saturday (4/1/2019). The former Germany Under-21 international has agreed on a five-year contract with the Bundesliga champions and will join the club on a free transfer in the summer.
‘FC Bayern Munich will sign Alexander Nubel for the 2020/2021 season. The club and Nubel have agreed to the terms of the transfer in the last few days,’ Bayern said on its official website.
‘The 23-year-old goalkeeper’s contract with FC Schalke 04 ends on 30 June 2020. Nubel will join FC Bayern on a free transfer for five years on July 1.’

Nubel was captain of Schalke before this season, having become the first choice after the winter break in the 2018/2019 season. He told the club in December that he would not renew his contract, which expires at the end of June.
Nubel ban undergoes four the match after being sent off for striking a tackle on Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Mijat Gacinovic on 15 December.
So far Nubel has made 35 appearances in Germany’s top league and could be a long-term replacement for Manuel Neuer, who has been at Bayern since 2011.
Neuer also joined from Schalke and has made 233 Bundesliga appearances for Bayern, helping them win the league seven times and the Champions League in 2013. The 33-year-old German international’s contract will expire in 2021.
